About Sadlers Woodhouse

I started Sadlers Woodhouse in 2018 when I was looking for ideas for our wedding.

I went to several wedding fairs to gain inspiration and stumbled across a beautiful rustic table, dressed with wood burned table numbers and wedding favours. I loved the idea, and being a “crafty” person I thought I would give it go.

I purchased my first wood burning tool and was hooked!! A new hobby and passion for all things wood related was started.

I source the wood locally, cut it into all shapes and sizes, sand the material and transform it into gifts and wedding decorations.

Pyrography is incredibly relaxing and I love how different creative projects can be achieved by burning.

The word pyrography originates from the Greek wording of “pur” (fire) and “graphos” (writing), meaning writing with fire.

Over the last three years, the business has grown and when I finish my day job, my time is spent creating gifts at my kitchen table in the evenings.

I have found crafting and especially pyrography my therapy. I generally spend evenings with a good podcast, a cuppa and burning on to wood to create unique items.

The business might be small but it certainly has an empire of family and friends supporting me in this adventure.
